Do We Recommend Backstage ?

Well, it's a good place to start when you're a non union actor, but once you want to reach the next level you may want to find other solutions.  Good legitimate union projects most of the time will be casted through agents and managers.

Should you pay to receive the trade? Our personal opinion is that you can read most of the interesting stuff online without paying. The only thing you're really paying for is to submit to their casting calls. But since most of their casting calls are student films, short films and theatre plays you can find the same postings for free or for much cheaper in craigslist, actors pages, actors access, and other good online resources.
