Summary
Based on the book by Jose Saramago it is about a city that is afflicted with a several cases of "white blindness" that strikes hard and fast. Those that are afflicted with this are put into an old mental hospital and due to the fact that there are criminal elements in the hospital people have to give up their valuables and eventually their bodies for food to survive.
