"Destination Uknown"...
...is pretty much what all of us have faced at the end of our senior year in high school -an unkown future.
julie has little to fear from hr future because her family is wealthy, but her future becomes unknown when she gets drunk with a boy in the oil fields of kern county. later, frighten that she may be pregnant, she takes her "goth" friend peter into the oil fields on a "walk about" to try to discover herself--to find her destiny. They end up hitch-hiking and getting a ride to the coast with a surfer chick named mary. They "bum around" for the weedend and discover that, while they are all different, they have the journey in common. After coming home Julie is faced with her dilemma-her parents confront her and she has to face reality. Her friends help and comfort her and all three kids find that, though their final destination may be unknown, the journey can be good-with friends at your side
