At a very young age I began developing my passion for expression and artistic venues through the exploration of classical ballet, music, and poetry recitations. My upbringing was further diversified through my rich cultural background; having two Asian sisters has given me a love for ethnicities and worldviews. Furthermore, traveling to distant countries has opened my eyes to the fact that life is greater than “just me”. Throughout my extensive travels and artistic education I’ve discovered that the world is flooded with rich characters and stories to be told!
While attending Point Loma Nazarene University, I deepened my desire to portray them through studying with renowned educators Dr. Paul Basset and Dr. William Wallace – the latter of which was a former drama instructor at UCLA. Upon graduating magna cum laude with a BA in music and having received extensive training through the techniques of Stanislavsky and Meisner, I further stretched my acting skills by pursuing film.
Working with Full Sail University and independent film artists enabled me to work at a professional level, providing me with lots of “on-camera” experience. This valuable work broadened my understanding of the industry as well as “on-set” technicalities – two things that I could not have learned in a classroom setting!
Currently, I am working to promote myself as a full-time actress. In the fall of 2010, I will once again be furthering my dramatic skills by studying theatre at the College of William and Mary while simultaneously completing my coursework for premed.
As a person, I am bubbly, adventurous, determined, and extremely committed! I have no deeper passion than this: to return to my home state of CA so that I can work as a professional film actress in LA! .
