Tanner was born in SF, CA. He has performed in California, Chicago, and New York. He received his MFA from the Actors Studio Drama School where he studied under Ellen Barkin and Arthur Storch. In 2005, he debuted his NY Cabaret show "Can You Hold, That's My Life Calling". His credits include The Professor in The Lesson, Gene in The Author's Voice, Anna in Jesus Christ Superstar, Jacob/Potiphor in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Bartolo in The Barber of Seville. Tanner has taught theatre for Oasis Summer Camps in Brooklyn and Camp Regis-Applejack in Upstate New York. He is currently acting and directing at Paju Enlgish Village in South Korea where he is also Artistic Director for the Edutainer Department. .
