Dan received his B.A. in Theatre Arts from Drew University. He has studied stage combat with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, plus workshops and classes here in New York. Dan has also studied combat through 11 years of competitive fencing (both local and national) and 6 years of studying Sambo, Judo, Jujitsu, and Kickboxing with Dayn DeRose at South Mountain Martial Arts. As Fight choreographer for Drew University Dan has worked on “Hello Out There”, “The Dumb Waiter”, “Pterodactyls”, “Phaedra”, “The Elephant Man”, “The Romancers”, “Up, Down, Strange, Charm, Beauty, and Truth”, “The Indian Wants the Bronx”, “Zoo Story”, and many others. Dan has worked with the Legitimate Theater Company doing fight choreography for their production of “Milk and Peanut Butter” written by Richard Lovejoy and performed in their last production of “Twelfth Night: The Drinking Game” as Fabian. This past year Dan has worked with the Wellesley Shakespeare Society doing fight choreography for “Richard III” and “Romeo and Juliet”, has performed and choreographed for the independent film “Crusaders: Pop Goes the Diva”, and has performed and choreographed for the Tennessee Projects’ production of “How to Raise the Dead”. Recently he has choreographed a production of "Marisol" for the Dreamscape Theatre CO.
