At the young age of 5, Josef debuted on stage in a Christmas play called SEARCH FOR THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS. He played a tree with one simple line, "I'm Jack." From that time on, Josef loved the idea of entertaining people and continued doing so by creating shows for his parents in their living room. But it wasn't until he was in a 7th grade play, THE HOMEWORK CONSPIRACY, that the acting bug bit him. Noticing his talent and love of the stage, his parents enrolled him in The Priscilla Beach Theater's School of Theater during the summer of 2000. Located in Plymouth, MA, Priscilla Beach Theater is a place where people of all ages come to train as actors in intense summer-stock sessions where 8 shows are performed. They also continue during the winter with a slower-paced schedule.

It was at PBT that Josef trained for the next 5 years as an actor, and even graduated to direct 7 children's shows for the theater. Josef's achievements also took him outside the PBT scene. In 2002 he won third place for his original work THE AMMUNITION SHED, a 10-minute play, for the Boston Children's Theater playwriting contest. He also won 4th place in 2004 in the same contest for his work THE GHOST OF MR. MCMURPH. While in college (Zion Bible College), he travelled with the school's drama team during the summer of 2006.

Between 2006 and 2008, Josef performed in three shows for the college, performing the lead role of Casper Ten Boom in THE HIDING PLACE, Martin Luther in A MONK AND A MOTHER, and a monologue in a 3-monologue show. In 2009, while working at a local church, Josef produced and directed a children's acting workshop which culminated in the performance of CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

The summer of 2010, saw Josef return to acting, playing the role of Prospero in THE EYE OF THE STORM (a modern-day take on THE TEMPEST) and The Mad Hatter in ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Both shows were performed outdoors for the DragonFly Theater, a community theater group in Dedham, MA. Josef loves his art, and always enjoys a good chance to be onstage.
