Ellen McKinney grew up on the east coast of Canada in a musical household. Highly influenced by her jazz pianist father, she left the maritimes to study music at McGill University in Montreal. She now calls Toronto home.
A versatile performer, Ellen's credits cover both the stage and screen and she has composed the scores of a numerous live and televised programs. As a songwriter, Ellen performs frequently throughout Canada and is planning on releasing her debut album in 2007. She defines her original music as "blues-infused folk-pop".
