Hi, there my name is Codie Scott....I am an actor, writer, and now producer in the Film & T.V. industry here in New Orleans, LA. I have a atrong passion, drive, hunger, determination, and desire to be apart of this industry. I am from a small town south of New Orleans as a child i was short, fat and wore dark rim glasses. I had very few friends and was considered an odd ball. I always had a very creative mind though and would create characters out of my head. By the time I turned 16 my life changed when I spourted up from 5'7" to 6'2". I ended up doing some modeling that lead to ending up in this business by accident. A woman saw me walking in the food court of a local shopping center and approached me. She stopped to see if I would be interested in doing Runway shows for her modeling agency. After taking her card I glanced at it to see it say....fashion, modeling, promotions and acting. I then told her I would do everything but acting...because i thought that stuff was stupid. She asked me if I had ever done it...to which I replied NO! She then said then how do you know its stupid? So, I agreed to also allow her to sumbit me for actings opportunities too. The reason i am telling you thiis...2 weeks later she landed me a gig on a film production here in New Orleans called "Father Hood" starring Patrick Swayze. This was my first time ever on a movie set and ended up getting bumped up to a speaking role. So, i became SAG eligible on my very first film.
Since then i have done mostly background from 1993 to the summer of 2005. Where i landed the role of Mac in a short called "Absolutiion".
Then one month before Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. I did a small indie flick called "Shaman's Mark" as a co-star, I then moved to Hollywood after where i did several more short or indies with roles and had many people in Los Angeles who were actors, producers and directors tell me to get an agent because I would work I this industry. I had several ones interested in me in California. But ended up moving back to Louisana where I have been mistaken for the co-stars of many small projects by just showing up on a set because of my look. I am a writer that has several script ideas for film and TV shows being looked at and now have dived into the field of producing. I am not sure what or where my calling is but One Thing is for sure...it will be as something in the Film & T.V. industry.
