Molly Hoekstra is an actress/novelist/playwright originally from the Chicagoland area. She is currently appearing as Melissa in The 70% Club in DC, Atlanta, NYC and beyond. She has been recently seen in Nashville as Ms. Darbus in High School Musical (Best Featured Actress, 2008, Circle Players), Marlene in The Desire (SistaStyle Productions), Ruth Clemmons in Sophie's Edge (Collards and Caviar), and multiple roles (multiple times) in In Real Life (Dream 7/SistaStyle/Destiny Theatre Experience), 70% More (SistaStyle), Smokin' Room (Dream 7 Productions), and Titus Andronicus (ACT 1). Look for her in 2009--along with fellow 70% Club cast members Darius Willis and Shawn Whitsell--as a dancer in Hannah Montana: The Movie (yeah, that's Darius high-fivin' Miley Cyrus) and as a crack addict in the short film The Test in the International Black Film Festival (written and directed by the multi-talented Mr. Shawn Whitsell). She has been a Resident at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Mary Anderson Center for the Arts.
