It’s no secret to anyone that Jovon Sorillo a.k.a V is destining for stardom. Trust me once you sit down with this very talented young man you will feel the same way. At a very young age he made an announcement to his family that he was going to be an entertainer, now years later he’s putting his plan into effect. Known to always be creative and goal-orientated, V is stepping out in the world in more ways than one. He’s an actor, songwriter, and singer and his passion and dedication for his work shows in everything that he does. Always going against the odds and aiming for higher achievements this performer is taking the industry to a new level.

Born in Baltimore, MD as Nicohlas Sorillo, college student fell in love with the arts almost instantaneously. With his West Indies heritage he was able take various cultures and mold and utilize them into his own unique style. So from the start, he has always set himself apart from others aiming to be a trendsetter. Born into music, V watched carefully as his family formed the first reggae band in Baltimore called the “Determination Band.” He began to travel at a very young age with them, learning and modeling their innovated styles. While on the road, V would reenact their performance in the mirror adding his own flavor to it. His family soon learned that he was artistic in many ways. His mother, who was a soloist in the band, soon began to take him to many auditions for commercials and talents shows. This became the stepping stone for V’s prolific resume.

Although V had a love for music, his passion was for acting. He performed in many plays in middle and high school before he eventually enrolled in college with Performing Art as his major. Loving the attention he got in front of an audience, V made the decision to take his talent to TV. His versatility landed him many roles from performing in a religious play titled “J.B”, to playing a role in the hard drug life of the HBO special “The Wire.” V has also did work for Sports Illustrated, so for this young man the words lights, camera, and action is far from foreign.

Presently on the family own independent label, J.B.R Dynasty Entertainment, V is in the studio recording his first LP with singles such as “Freak”, “Psycho”, and the album titled “Miscommunication” which is off the hook. He’s crafting his own lyrics which seem to be coming straight from the heart. V is penning lyrics such as: “Miscommunication can break relationships to a whisper/No more saying that I miss ya/ No more saying that I love you/ Until you learn to speak the truth/Lets sit and talk about it/ We can work it out or call it quits.” Not holding any punches his edgy writing will grab your attention leaving you speechless.
