Jordan has been acting in public theater since the age of 4, and was inspired to act in film and theater from an early age. A member of the popular Detroit-Area public access sketch comedy show, “Generation Now” in his teens, he furthered his education in acting when he was introduced to the writings of Viola Spolin and Del Close in college. He was inspired to continue his dramatic experiences with Improvisation, performing all over Michigan since 1996 with a variety of Improvisational troupes.
Formally trained at The Second City in Detroit, the Purple Rose Company in Chelsea, Improv Inferno in Ann Arbor, the Detroit Repertory Theater, and Michigan State and Eastern Michigan Universities, Jordan shares his knowledge of improvisation and acting techniques with students in Plymouth Canton Community Schools, acting as co-director for “Sketchy@Best” Improv, currently in their 8th year of continuous operation.
A freelance artist and Visual Arts Educator, Jordan holds a MA from Eastern Michigan University and a BFA from Michigan State University. Jordan has also trained and competed in Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do for over 15 years, and has studied Judo, Aikido, and Wing Chun Kung Fu to supplement his martial arts and various weapons experiences garnered from stage combat training.
With his extensive stunt experiences with falls, wire harnesses, and motion capture technology; Jordan has been able to explore many different aspects of acting. Most recently, his acting and stunt training has lead him to lead and featured roles in Wonderful, New Directions: The Makeover, InZer0: Fragile Wings, and The Nano Effect.
