Keyon Smith was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the mean and dangerous streets or North Philadelphia. He received is education from the public school system and graduated with honors from William Penn High School. He fell in love with acting in middle school when he continuously participated in drumming, plays and his most famous Drum Major speech, by Martin Luther King Jr. While also being on the championship gymnastics team in middle school, he also knew he wanted to entertain. Smith continued through high school with plays and speeches and knew at that moment he wanted to entertain audiences.
After graduating he continued to perfect his craft by attending Freedom Theatre, which was right across the street from William Penn High School in North Philadelphia. With the skills he learned there, auditions were soon sought out. Since 1998, his current credits include, movies/shows such as the CBS TV shows "Hack" and "Cold Case". Also, "National Treasure" starring Nicholas Cage, "Annapolis" starring Tyrese, "Shadow: Dead Riot", starring Tony Todd also known as Candyman), "Invincible", starring Mark Wahlberg, and most recent was Rocky Balboa. His credits above do not include student films and independent films where he landed principle roles.
