Obtained Amarillo High School Diploma on May 30, 2003~ Graduation Day
Leadership Roles: Recipient of Class Favorite Award for the Class of 2003. Performed (4) Musicals, (2) One-Act Plays, (2) State Competitions for Cross Country, (1) State Competition for Track, (3) Regional Track Meets, (2) Regional Cross Country Meets, Sweepstakes in all (4) years of Choir Competitions, Vice-President of Sophomore Class (2001), President of Junior Class (2002), Member of Executive Council/ Student Council (4) years. Perfect Attendance Grades K-12, Principal’s Award in 1990.
Accomplishments: First Person in my Family to grow up in a different way of life. I grew up in all white schools and adapted to a way of living that has reflected goals in my life that I am still accomplishing. I also am the only one in my family that has moved around Texas every (6) month to explore my outside surroundings and meet new people.
Interesting Facts: I was voted “ most outgoing” of my Senior Class of 2003 and it shows. Many Opportunities have flown my way and I have grasped every since one. I have worked (12) jobs since I was 15 years of age & still able to maintain an Education and income to help out my entire family.
Employment: Currently right now I work at AIG Annuity Insurance Co. where I take about 80-100 calls a day in the call center
Marketing Plan: Taking Education to a whole new level. Time is passing by rapidly that it is hard to keep up with old events let alone current ones. I want to take my knowledge and share it with others no matter what the age. My major is Education in Mathematics but I want to teach as much as possible to as many people as I can also.
Legacy: If I could have that "ONE" chance to make a difference and become famous I would state this saying at all times as a motivational movement for others who might look up to me: “Leadership is all about change”. I have lived by those words for many years. My grandma would always repeat that to me over and over to me just so I could get it in my head. I then would think about it more and more but I never could quite get that meaning of the sentence. It was not until February 2003 until I realized what that saying meant until my grandmother had died. It all fell into place: “ I AM A LEADER!
What I think about life: “Leadership should be a main factor in life in order to gain a true perspective of yourself. I feel that I can help make changes for Wichita Falls in a positive way for others to reflect on”.
