Charlotte,
I was born and raised in Monroe, MI, about 40 miles south of Detroit. At the ripe age of 14 I started deciding to try and be funny at school, home, work, etc. I won class clown in 8th grade, 9th grade, and finally, high school. In between working odd jobs, I practiced the art of stand-up comedy both at college (winning 2nd place out of all the entrants) and then continuning on and off throughout local comedy clubs in Michigan and Ohio. I won a stand-up comedian "comedy off" vs other comedians at a comedy club in Ohio to win the award of opening the next weekend for the regulars.
After college I got hooked up with a friend I graduated with who went to college for filming/directing, and we worked on many many projects together.
