Since earning her BFA in Theatre/Acting from Drake University, Jessica Whitfield has performed for several theatres in Kansas City including Theatre for Young America, Rainbow’s End Theatre, and she was the understudy for Janis Joplin in Love Janis at the Kansas City Rep. She has performed in several shows for The Mystery Train including the play, Our Brother’s Caper, where Steve Wilson of Broadway World said she gives, “A marvelous performance as the little orphan . . . Tillie (Annie came to mind, didn't it). She has a good sense of comedic timing, utilizing humorous facial expressions, body language, and accent to keep the audience laughing through the end of the ride.” She is also a cast member of the web series, Midget Mafia and will be in the feature film, The Brutal 9, which is scheduled to be released in 2017. She has recently been hired by 825 Studios and will be in both a feature film and a television pilot with them. Jessica has talent agents in Kansas City as well as Des Moines, IA and she has trained with Andy Garrison at The Actor’s Training Studio.
