Hi, my name is Tehya and I am 11 years old. I live on a farm with my dad and mom and six of my seven siblings. I am number 6 of 8 children. Growing up in a big family is fun but sometimes my brothers can be a pain. We have 7 dogs and many more barn cats that live outside. I love the cats, especially when we have baby kitties. Most of the cats are wild but if I can catch them when they are little, I make pets of them. We also have cows, pigs and chickens. I help my parents with chores around the farm, I help feed the animals and change irrigation sprinklers in the pasture. My favorite chore is trapping gophers in the field.

I love to go fishing with my older brother, he takes me to the canal that runs through our farm and sometimes we get to go to the lake that is close to our farm. I usually catch the biggest fish.

In the summer time I like to swim with my brothers, ride horses with my friend, play hide and seek in the group of trees in our pasture and chase my brothers around. When our family goes camping I like to hike and fish. In the winter my dad takes us skiing and snowboarding, we have a lot of fun.
