As a native New Yorker, singer/songwriter Chaize Macklin was born in Long Island. At a tender age, Chaize was already flexing her vocal muscles and wowing family members with her instrumental range. Surrounded by a Caribbean family immersed in music, It is no surprise that she was destined for boundless recognition in music. Her mother, Rosemarie Macklin, was a music promoter for many years and melodious tunes were the norm around Chaize. Her family moved to Louisiana for a few years where Chaize was exposed to the sounds of Creole and Zydeco music.
Currently a Las Vegas and California resident, Chaize's journey has just begun and she has embarked on a musical mission to become a youth change agent and influencer creating words that will spark transformation for her generation through her pencil, paper, and voice. With the intro of her first pop hit single, "R-U-A Hater,” produced by Verahouse Studios, Chaize has launched herself as a young thought-leader, advocate, and conscious trendsetter for enlightened teens just like her. “R-U-A-Hater” is an upbeat anthem empowering youth to stand strong in the face of a bully, and embrace their inner everyday-swag.
In 2011, After hearing about escalating texting and driving auto accidents, and losing a classmate to a reckless driver, Chaize turned grief into inspiration and began to pen “Don't Text Me,” her second single highlighting the dangers of driving and texting. She was featured on CBS Las Vegas singing an
Acappella clip of “Don't Text Me,” hoping that it will help teens understand that texting while driving can seriously hurt, and end a life. With “R-U-A-Hater” and “Don't Text Me,” gaining a strong fan following, this rising songbird is slated to become a fan favorite garnering nationwide acclaim akin to Willow Smith, Demi Levato, and even Nicki Minaj. Chaize now shares the family spotlight with talented reggae artist & grandfather, Glenmore Brown, and UK actress Aunt Anita Davis and her cousin upcoming songtress Lily Beau.
Chaize hopes to inspire and spread her musical message to help empower teens the way pop culture icon Beyonce spreads a message that helps empower women. Her passion for the arts spreads further than music. She is a talented artist and photgrapher who has had her artwork exhibited in the Art Museum in Alexandra, Louisiana at the age of 5. She is currently learning Chinese and plays the guitar as her instrument of choice. Her affinity for art has never withered as she currently works toward perfecting her craft to be an overall performer and on occations attends the New York film academy.Currently she is enjoying her new found land in California auditioning quite frequently, and eagerly pursuing her acting career. .
