Mos def began acting and transitioned into his music, will smith made popular rap songs that showed how animated/photogenic he was which landed him several acting jobs before his lead roll in fresh prince, Jamie foxx wanted to sing but wasn't taken seriously until his second album and by that time he had serious dramas like any given Sunday and "RAY" under his belt..

Essentially I'm hoping I can do what these men have done, I just need a shot
