Althia Kinsey has been singing since she was 4 years old, the day she bravely walked up on stage and joined her older cousin at the mic shocking everyone .From then on every time her cousin went up on stage everyone wanted the 4 year old to join in on the songs. She was first introduced to singing due to traveling to different churches throughout California with her family when they would tour and sing. As she grew older her interest went into drawing, painting, sports and reading, at the age of 7 Althia had nearly read every book in her school’s library. So the teachers skipped her to 4th grade. She snagged her first lead singing role at age 14 at her high school. Due to lack of opportunities back when she was a child no one knew Althia had a voice till that day, not even her family. She sang the song by Lauren Hill in the movie Sister Act 2 “Joyful Joyful” with the choir accompanying her and a full band.
