Cody R Burns began his venture in the performing arts while taking part in many plays as a child. It was greatly due to this that he saw his co-creation Guadalajara: The Movie come to life in 2005 while holding one of the lead acting roles. However, cast disputes broke the film up later that year. Burns then teamed up with right hand man Chris Rex in 2006 to start the improvisational game Prank Calls. Unfortunately, Spike Industries was forced to close in 2006 and Cody turned to making music and focusing on school. In 2009, Spike Industries reopened, and Cody released his first music demo album titled Acoustics under the Spike Industries label. Chris Rex and Cody Burns also got back together to finish Prank Calls: Volume One by the end of 2009. He then teamed up with several members of the Guadalajara cast to complete Guadalajara: The Experience on DVD in early 2010. Cody then released a personal novel series titled King Of The Golden Sun: The Cody Saga later in 2010, which was a combination of ten short novels he had written since 2006. He provided his voiced to several of the 3Guys1Wii retro video game help DVDs during this time, which included his brother Brandon and Tyler Seymour. By the end of 2010, in Chris Rex's absense, Cody and several other guest stars came together and completed Prank Calls: Volume Two on CD. This led to the DVD titled Prank Calls: Video Collection, which featured tracks off of Volumes 1 & 2 and was released in early 2011. Cody took another break to focus on music, coming out with a second demo album titled Rest&Respite. By the end of 2011, Cody led a project for Oregon State University's Campus Moviefest titled Second Chances, which ironically took 2nd place in the drama category.
