Nick Johnson was born in Pendleton, Oregon. In high school, he was part of an improv group, the school choir, and the theater club. He did not think much of stand-up at the time. Many of the comics appeared to Johnson to be outside of his experiences, talking about grown-up married life. Until one school day in 2008, he was sitting in computer science class (not doing computer science) and stumbled on a video of Louie Anderson bringing Jim Carrey on stage to do stand-up at the Comedy Store. He couldn’t believe that one of his acting idols started out as a regular guy doing comedy. From there, he was hooked.

In 2010, he went to see a comedy show at Eastern Oregon University, (Where he went to school). Before the main comedian came out, there was an opening act that was, (how do I say this?) less than crap. After the show, he went to talk to the main act and said, "Hey I'm funny, so the next time you do a show and want an opening act that doesn't make the audience want to throw fruit, let me know." (Obviously it was less smooth and Fonzie like than that.) So that guy took a chance on him and he has been a stand-up comedian ever since. He is in the process of editing his first comedy CD and has also started working with other funny people to create a comedy business called, "Class Clown Comedy".
