Sean Johnson was born on October 11, 1985 in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. At age 13 his life was shattered when he watched his father get a life sentence in prison. His mother, Trina Brown who was a well known playwrite in the city, kept him from following that path by encouraging Sean to excercise his talent of screenwriting. As Trina's plays took the city by storm, Sean was there to assist her every step of the way. Plays like "Christmas in the Hood" and "Were in this Together" provided Sean the springboard to pursue his own passion in screenwriting. Sean received a scholarship to New York Film Academy in Los Angeles where he graduated as one of the top writers. Ameer Baraka, his industry mentor, provided the guidance and support for Sean to excel in the disclipine of professional screenwriting . An internship with Raleigh Studios offered Sean the opportunity to write in a professional environment while providing the exposure and credibility required to further his career. Shortly thereafter , Sean was hired to write a compelling family-based drama film where he has been since. "Down by the River" is Sean's feature film debut as an actor and screenwriter.
